They were all bad, and frankly, I can not pick just one Non World-Series Playoff Series Loss as being the one that bugged me the most.

I am curious which one others thought was the worse...was it losing to Baltimore in 1996, The Yankees in 1998, The Red Sox in 1999, or the Seattle Mariners in 2001?

Interestingly enough, we we were AHEAD in three of those playoff series, and after trailing 2-0 in the fourth playoff series against Baltimore, we won the third game against Baltimore before losing the playoff series on Robbie Alomars game tying homer in the ninth, then losing in extra innings (is that how it happened, or did Robbie's homer win it outright and there were no extra innings?)

Since 1995, Which Non-World Series Playoff Series Loss was the worst?

    Boston '99.

To win the first game against Pedro and still wind up losing was savage. Serious error by Hargrove in the rotation - Colon on 3 days rest in game 4.

Hargrove was trying to give himself two games to win the third game by putting Colon in game 4 and Nagy in game 5 (also on three days rest)

I'll never forget Hargrove putting Shuey in the game four annhilation in the 8th inning, and Shuey ended up throwing 39 PITCHES!
    .
Less than 24 hours later, Shuey was on the mound giving up a three run homer to Trot Nixon (I think?) to seal the victory.
    .
Hargrove replaced Assenmacher with Paul Shuey with the score 22-7!!!!!!

I mean, Bartolo Colon only threw 41 pitches in game four, and he pitched a couple of hours earlier, might as well have brought him back again for game five.
